Cheetah and rhino country
Phinda and KwaZulu-Natal

KwaZulu Natal is situated close to the unspoiled beaches and spectacular coral reefs of the Indian Ocean, offering an unmatched combination of bush and beach adventures. The area's reserves give refuge to several hundred bird species as well as many species of antelope and the Big Five, while the marine diversity off the nearby coast of Sodwana is said to rival the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Predators like the cheetah were reintroduced to the area, and both the grass-eating white rhino and the more endangered shrub-grazing black rhino have been brought back from the brink of extinction and are doing well at the reserves.
