An astonishing array of desert-adapted big game species
Hoanib

The Hoanib is one of the twelve ephemeral seasonal rivers in western Namibia, acting as a border between northern Damaraland and Kaokoland. This oasis supports a relatively high wildlife population and is one of the last true wilderness areas in Namibia, one of the last settlements of species such as the desert elephant, desert lion, desert-adapted giraffe and black rhino, among others.
