Mana Pools National Park

Mana Pools National Park is Zimbabwe’s second World Heritage Site and is synonymous with the Zambezi River, elephants, lions and its world-famous multi-day canoe safaris. It is one of Zimbabwe's most popular parks, and it is easy to see why when one visits the park anytime from May to November. The name ‘Mana’ means ‘four’ in the local Shona language, referring to four large pools inland from the Zambezi River. The park has a large population of hippos and crocodiles, and is a favourite of large herds of elephants that come out to drink on the banks of the Zambezi.
