Osa Peninsula

The Osa Peninsula on the Pacific Coast is the heart of Costa Rica's incredible biodiversity, made up of rainforest, swamps, lagoons and beaches. Whale sharks have a history of visiting the waters around the Osa Peninsula from January through to May, and schools of dolphins are residents around the peninsula.  The Corcovado National Park makes up most of the area, and is home to countless endangered animal and plant species, including tapirs, jaguars and pumas.
