Beautiful and fascinating snakes such as coral snakes, anacondas, vipers and rattlesnakes can be found in the Amazon rainforest and the Pantanal swamps but are very rarely seen as they generally avoid humans. Oher wilderness areas such as Patagonia, the Galapagos Islands and Antarctica do not have any venomous snakes and they are incredibly safe places to hike and walk.
