The peak wildlife viewing months of July to December in the Amazon rainforest and the Pantanal wetlands occur during the dry season when insects numbers are lower. For those travelling at other times there may be more insects, however, we believe the positive aspects of the experience far outweigh any annoyance caused by insects. Any tented style rooms will have mesh windows and the beds will be equipped with mosquito nets. Before dusk, the housekeeping staff with make sure your room is closed up and your mosquito net is down thus ensuring you a peaceful and bug-free sleep.
Insects are not an issue at all for trips to Patagonia, the Galapagos Islands, the Atacama desert or Antarctica.
