    Fast and furious: beasts on the move

    The beasts are still running fast....

    Currently Olobaye is pretty empty, but still and always good game in the nearby Moru area.  There are big concentrations on the Musabi plains and all along the Grumeti River.

    But nonetheless some of them can’t wait and have already reached Lobo, Togoro Plains and even near Bolagonja so we are definitely on for an early year. Let’s see»

    Chimping Around

    We had a wonderful day in the forest with another chimp sighting.It was late afternoon and we were searching for green nests because we hadn’t heard anything in the morning… when suddenly we heard chimps calling very close by, it seemed like we had just passed them. We headed in the direction of their calls and came across some recent poop which we scooped up into a tube.»

    A fresh new season in the Serengeti

    Our guides are back out in the field after the low season and so the firsthand updates are coming in thick and fast.

    It seems that the beasties are moving up early this year. There are big herds between Seronera, Retima Hippo Pool, Banagi area and on the Musabi plains, but some are already moving towards Ikoma, Mbuzi Mawe and towards the North.  There are still big herds of zebra»
