Since most safari camps and lodges do impose a single supplement fee, consider travelling during the leaner times of the year, from around November to May, when some properties tend to waive the supplemental cost for solo travellers. It is also a good idea to book early as some properties do put a cap on the number of single supplement fees that they will waive during a certain period.
